Found within the Great Hall of the Fairy Castle is this terracotta tanagra figure of a female bust made over 2,000 years ago (c. 4th-3rd centuries BCE). Made in Greece, tanagra figurines commonly depicted activities seen in everyday life.
The Great Hall with floating staircase is a grand room with many treasures. The floor is composed of ivory carved with rose vines which carry up onto the great pillars supporting the ceiling. The ceiling includes domes painted by Helga Brabon of characters from fairytales of both the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Anderson. The Great Hall includes many hanging wall paintings as well as many rare treasures gathered from around the world.
