Mounted on the wall of the Great Hall of the Fairy Castle is a miniature painting of Little Red Riding Hood. The painting was done on ivory by Lisbeth Stone Barrett (1904-1988), a well-known miniaturist during the 20th century.
The Great Hall with floating staircase is a grand room with many treasures. The floor is composed of ivory carved with rose vines which carry up onto the great pillars supporting the ceiling. The ceiling includes domes painted by Helga Brabon of characters from fairytales of both the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Anderson. The Great Hall includes many hanging wall paintings as well as many rare treasures gathered from around the world.
