Object Description: Miniature brass sculpture of a seated budda-like figurine, though the face has a more comical or laughing expression. Figure is on a two (2)-tiered stand which has text engraved.

Placed on a shelf in the Library is a brass figure of a Billiken sitting on a pedestal. A Billiken is known as “The God of Things as They Ought to Be” and it is said that rubbing the figure’s belly or feet will bring good luck.
