Object Description: Bronze rectangular tray (a) and lid (b). Lid is highly depictive with scroll border and image of a city. Image is a horizontal depiction of skyline, lake shore and clouds. There are numerous high rise buildings, cars on street, multiple boats in water, two (2) planes and a blimp in the sky. Text is placed in scrolls at bottom edge of lid. Tray has a faint engraving of elongated perspective or map view of streets and pond (assumed of fairgrounds)....

This gold-colored tray is a souvenir from the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition. The souvenir pictures a blimp and an airplane flying over Chicago’s beautiful skyline and depicts a sailboat and speedboat on Lake Michigan.
