This miniature Italian Primitive-style painting on a metal stand depicts the Holy Family of Mary and baby Jesus. Italian Primitives refers to a group of early Renaissance painters in Italy who were active from the late 13th to the early 15th centuries. This style of painting is seen as a time of transition between Byzantine and early Renaiasssance art. The painting is displayed beside the organ in the Fairy Castle's Chapel.
