On Exhibit
A replica of a dry dock where ships went to receive maintenance and upgrades. When the dock is full of water, a ship can steam right in. Workers then seal the entrance shut and use powerful pumps to empty the dock of water. Then, the ship settles onto blocks and the bottom of the ship is exposed for repairs. Once the tasks are done, the process is reversed.
