Object Description: Gold ceramic salt and pepper shaker set. Shakers are rectangular with slightly rounded corners and fluted bases. Embossed on the front of each shaker is the Century of Progress logo with the text "A CENTURY / OF PROGRESS / CHICAGO" beneath it. There is a floral pattern embossed on the other three (3) sides of the shaker. A golden salt and pepper shaker set from the 1933 Century of Progress with the phrase “Century of Progress” and the exposition’s logo on one side. The exposition’s logo and motto, “Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Adapts,” were symbolic of the exposition’s theme of technological innovation and hope for the future.
