Object Description: Silver metal two (2)-slice toaster with central heating element. Slice doors have a pierced tulip design. Doors fold down to open. Identical text is engraved at the bottom inside edge of both doors. The electric cord is covered in red and white threads and has a black two-prong plug. There are four (4) black rubber wheel feet.

This 1920s toaster from the Excel Electric Company was originally sold as a children’s toy designed to toast miniature slices of bread. The art-deco style flaps are lined with nickel-plated steel and open sideways to reveal compartments for up to two slices of bread.
